We are beyond proud to bring you a full ep of label boss Osunlade’s Yoruba Soul Mixes! This time we bring you Oisima, hailing from Adelaide, and already a force in the scene down under. Being the first time we have cross pollinated both labels. The Deeper Waters ep was released on Yoruba Soul and has received great support. With the aim to create a blissful package of deep house tunes that we hope will become instant classics, Osunlade decided to take on remix duties for this one solely and what an ep he’s delivered! Blue Shades starts us off with the soulful voice of Jimetta Rose blaring over the funky happy groove that’s been laid in place. Rest takes u on a fast paced musical journey as Abbey Howlett’s cadence and vocal delivery is in a league of its own with such character it can’t be duplicated or denied. We follow up with Loving You Was Easy in what has become the Yoruba Soul sound as Wallace soothes the soul with a velvet tone. When all of this grooving is done, we slow it down with Stone Cold Player. A funky ditty that displays more of the soul Osunlade gives in his non electronic music, most which is grossly overlooked so we decided to educate you on the other side of the mans work. Anthony Mills delivers a stunning vocal and completes the mission with grace. As ep’s go, we are clear that this is a complete statement of what Yoruba is about and where house music in general should warrant.

Moodymann creates innovative soul funky music with deep 70s inspiration. The vocals are simply outstanding. A step back in time, 50 years ago! Superb. jef37
